Update on the Internet Explorer 7 Front:

I updated the Port with the new CXZ Jade Engine, so it should work better.

It still has some bugs (like you can't download files), so it should only be used for Web Designers and the like to use how their Page looks on the Dark Side.

Requirenments:
- Apple's X11 must be installed
- CXZ Jade Engine must be installed

Get it here:

-dev

There is a ton of junk in CX Games 8 that I didn't stick in CXSkin... mainly cuz I couldn't figure out what it did.... but you can always try throwing some stuff back in to see if it works better :-)

will do, i already have some ideas on what could be working and some ideas to modify it to make it more easy to use. I hope you don't mind me playing with CXSkin a bit :)

Is this an update of: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1153?

I'll give a try to this one to see how it works, cuz the other one is slow D=

Thanks!

Yes, this Port is an update of viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1153

It uses the newer CXSkin by doh, and not the old CX Wrapper.

Upside is that it starts faster, downside is that there are some interface problems (like when you push the command key, the bookmarks bar disappears and reappears)

For testing purposes only, the reasons for that are obvious :)

have you tried adding in any of the extra programs from the Wine bin and such to see if it changes? Some aren't that big, I guess I can just throw back in tons of stuff in the wrapper just in case some program was using it as a work-a-round... I just hate having extra unused files.

Thanks! This will be good for testing if my website works, or if it will need some workaround.

Does this work with javascript?

Any chance of getting a Snow Leopard compatible IE6 port too?

IE 6 behaves pretty weirdly in the CXS environment, has some window issues.
If there is great need for IE 6 i can make one, too.

That would be great. I know a lot of web developers using Mac that would love to not having Windows installed just to run Internet Explorer.

Cheers, trying this out for curiosity's sake more than anything, but good work. Could even come in handy for site testing. :)

i just used this for testing some stuff, seems like compatibility broke quite a bit with some sites.
I'll try to make another port of this when i have time, but somehow the CXS version does not work as good as the CX version.

Thank You for this! Even though it seems to have some issues. I guess IE can never be made fully working without windows because it can affect to so many system parts.

Thanks a lot, this saves me the pain to start up VMware each time I only need to test a webpage compatibility with IE.

Does anyone have any idea why IE7 using Crossover 8.0.1-8.0.3 will allow you to access a "Outlook Web Access" site and http://portingteam.com/redirect.php?htt ... urcing.com (payroll site). But when either using this CXS version or building it myself. I can not view those sites. They give the error message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I'm just wondering what Crossover is doing different, and what I can do to fix this. I have spent 3 working days trying to get these sites to work. Any input would be appreciated.
